Too many cards/banks for PPI!!

Hi

I have a relative who has used one of those firms that take a quarter (I think they may also take £30 of every £100 of VAT you get back) of any money that you get back through a successful PPI claim.

I have used alot of credit cards down the last 8 to 10 years and I have lost track of the number of banks/building societys that I have dealt/do deal with. This is why I wonder would it be easier to use one of these firms due to the amount of cards I have held? I may not even get anything as I always turned these things down when I was asked about them when taking cards out. I also know through this forum that other people say those firms are a rip off and to do it yourself isnt that hard to sort by writing letters etc. I really begrudge giving any potential money I could get to these firms but I cant think of any other way round it at the moment due to the large amount of cards I have held. Can anyone advise me? Many thanks in advance for any helpful hints and advice.

If you always turned down PPI, why do you believe you will be successful with any complaints ?

You'll still need to let the PPI companies know who you had accounts/cards with for them to complain on your behalf.

PPI companies have no special powers. They don't investigate anything for you. They need you to do the work of finding out what you had with who, then they fill in the same form you do and send it to the same place you do.

The only difference is you're less likely to be successful with a claims company.
