Wrong details on insurance.

Options
Hi everyone,
I know it's really stupid but when setting up my car insurance policy with tesco bank I've entered my shortened name (Josh) instead of Joshua. They are closed now for the evening, but should I be able to call them up tomorrow and change it quite easily or will there be complications ? Does anyone else have similar experience ?

Many thanks

It's still your name. The insurer doesn't specify if you need to use your name from your driving licence, birth certificate, or the name you choose to call yourself. I'd leave it.

It might be a few quid a letter to add "ua" if they levy their admin charge for making a change.

    Just leave it alone.

Unless you have a twin brother called Josh with the same date of birth who lives at the same address as you there is unlikely to be any ambiguity over who the policy is supposed to cover.

They'll charge you for an amendment most likely. It still is you, so why bother?
