Hi all
I am hoping some one can help me on this one. I have googled but the info I find seems out of date or refers to merlin pass holders.
when at alton towers you used to be able to buy a drinks capsule and get free refills. does anyone know if you can this year?
I have seen the merlin pass one for 1.99 and 75p refill but am after info on the one you can get for just the day.
thanks in advance

Less well known is the fact you can buy a dark-blue insulated cup and have free refills of coffee/tea/hot choc all day:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Yep, and very welcome they are in the cold months and grey rainy days/Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -
Thanks guys.... We did get one you could refill last year but as they had changed the merlin pass one I was unsure what had happened to the one you buy on the day and was debating whether to pack a few more drinks.
I did not know about the blue hot drinks one. I find the soft drink one was great and well worth the money. I could get the merlin one but to keep refilling for 75p seemed unfair.Don’t put it down - put it away!

Yes the new Merlin one has caused a lot of unhappy customers.
The old one was £16 per year, with Free refills.
The new one is £1.99 per year but 75p per refill and 30% Smaller than the old one.
If Merlin had been honest and said it was a reduction in benefits or nothing at all it would have been fine, but to come out with the rubbish they did that most customers prefered it and it was to fight wasps etc etc, really annoyed people.
I am a really high user of my merlin pass 30 or so visits a year to AT (I am based very close). and filling it even 4 times a day at 75p would be £3 x 30 = £90 + £1.99 = £91.99 Thats a big change to the old £16!!!!
The only thing with the current £7 a day red capsule there is a lot of abuse with people rubbing the date of them and bringin them back on future visits, so have seen an increase in staff asking to see the purchase receipt now if the capsule is starting to look tatty or the date is not on right.Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -

WAW that is good to know have been annual pass holders for several years now and never realised this. How do you go about getting one of these Tigsteroonie, as would be really handy Autumn/spring
When I had email about drinks capsule thought who are they trying to kid making it sound like it was better for us  making the capsule smaller when charging per refil meaning needing refilled more  they might as well scrap the annual one full stop and just do a decent % on the daily one saves hassle of remembering to take it with you:mad:0
