Default Charges Vs Service Charges

After Trying To Reclaim My Charges From Lloyds Tsb , I Have Recieved A Letter From Them Claiming That I Am Not Entitled As My Charges Are Not Default Charges They Are Service Charges, As I Have Not Broken An Agreement With Them ???? I Assume This Is Because At The Time Of Being Charged I Did Not Have An Overdraft Facility , However I Have Still Been Charged For Exceeding My Balance , Has Anyone Recieved A Similar Letter And Am I Still Entitled ? Or Are They Just Trying To Put Me Off ? Help !!!!!!!

  • Hi There
I too have received the same letter from them saying the same. It is a standard letter they send out to Fobb you off. The problem is trying to get throughthe contact number, which is impossible. I have sent a letter to them after this and suprise suprise they have not replied back. I am now going to the Financial Ombudsmen to sort them out. You and I Will get our money back.

    DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!!
  • the service argument has been defeated recently in small claims court so they should not be able to rely on that argument for too much longer.
