I am now looking at buying tickets online for our weekend in London with the grandchildren. i have been looking around online and there are so many things i know we wont be able to do half of them in the 3 days we are there. i have listed below couple of things we will be doing and wondered what is the cheapest way of buying these online separately or buy them all together off one site. are there any promotional codes around.

London Eye
Tower Bridge
Tower Dungeon
Tower of London
Big Bus Tour/River Cruise
Theatre Show already booked via kids go free in August
?? Shard

As your time is so limited and there is so much to do I would plan what you want to do each day so you pack as much in as possible. You could use www.tfl.gov.uk to plan your journeys and group things together that are near each other.

    ?? Shard

Tower Bridge is next door to the Tower of London

I think you mean London Dungeons, you can walk along the river taking in a nice view of the Tower of London and HMS Belfast along to London Dungeon which is at London Bridge and is right next to the Shard.

The Shard is very good but fairly expensive, if you decide to go up the Shard I would suggest you do it near the end of your stay as you will then see a lot of the sights you've seen from the ground but from the Shard.

Kids love Hamleys and will also love the Natural History Museum which is free

    Where abouts are you staying?

Its about 5 minutes walk from The Garrick Theatre to Ed's Diner, up Charring Cross Road and left into Old Compton Street. We went to Ed's Diner just before we went to see Miss Saigon a couple of weeks ago, as it is just beside the theatre and they just had four seats that became available. It is a small place, that does get very busy, with no reservations taken, so you may have to wait a while to get seated at peak times.

I just thought that there is a larger looking Ed's Diner near Piccadilly Circus and this would be about 10 minutes walk from the theatre.

Just a little correction Susan. London Dungeon is now at County hall next to the Eye.

The London Dungeons are no longer at London Bridge, this attraction is now near the London Eye. Beside there is also Big Ben, Houses Of Parliament etc.

Op the Tower of London is about a 20 minute walk from where you will be staying and well worth a visit. rather than do an expensive tour bus you could get the old routemaster no 15 bus from by the Tower of London (may have to let the newer no 15 buses go past) to Trafalgar square as it goes past a lot of the tourist places. You can use a daily travelcard or oyster on it.

From Trafalgar Square it is about a 5 minute walk to the Garrick Theatre. You also have Covent Garden with the street entertainers about 10 minutes walk away. You could also do a 5 minute walk down The Mall to Whitehall to have pictures taken beside the Queens horse mounted guards.

I wouldn`t prebook London Eye, might be bad weather and poor visibility

Bermondsey Street is really nice and worth popping along to for a bite to eat in one of the cafes, you may even see Gok Wan walking his dog if that floats your boat. There's a Franco Manca pizza restaurant opening in Bermondsey St soon, if it's open by the time you visit it serves the best pizza in London Town and is not very expensive

Borough Market is also well worth a visit, don't eat before you go as the food is lovely
