delivery question

i sent a item on the 27/06 but it came back today and the packaging of the item was squashed. The postman told me the buyer didn't collect it from the post office within 10 dyas. What should i do as im £3 already down.

any advice accepted

Why are you £3 down?

I would email the buyer and explain that th parcel was returned to you as it was never collected from the PO and that if they still want the item they will need to pay the postage and packaging charge again.

Was the item itself actually damaged?

Not sure where you are £3.00 down?

If not as the previous op said its up to the buyer to pay for postage again, as they could not be bothered to collect it from the Post Office.
