Mazda 6....blind spot?

I think it's mainly due to modern car design. The current Fiesta has much poorer rear visibility than the mark 4 Fiesta.
Part of the problem is the thicker, more steeply sloped pillars, but I also think the designers just think that small windows look cool from the outside. Hopefully this is a cyclical thing, and larger windows will come back into fashion soon.0 -
Facade, if it is any comfort, I have the same problem> I have even started regular exercises to be able to swivel my neck a bit further, but some junctions are so angled that I just can't see properly at all, so where possible, I also square up to the junction, and indicate left, but some are so extreme that even that doesn't work. It's a worry. I have also had to drive large vans, and they can be really bad. Sometimes have to roll down the window and angle the mirror. I wonder how many minor shunts are caused by this.0

I didn't notice until recently, as I said when I changed route and met an oblique junction, it made me wonder if exercises might help too.
Got to keep in tip top condition, so when I can finally get my pension I can actually do all the things that I don't have time to do now.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Vision directly to the rear is now much poorer than it was say 20 years ago. Shallower windows means more luggage space.0
