Well, new to this,so please bear with me. Got in to financial trouble 12 months ago, got stitched up by a ex-business partner, should have walked away, but did'nt. Now owe 40k, tried HSBC with whom I have banked with for 30 years, no help, today, we popped in to our local branch, for a chat, [last resort] It was like going in to a kids playgroup, all staff dressed in casual clothes, what a example to set for one of the largest banks in the world.
Anyway, we have had to put our house up for sale, 225k, owe 85k, so will have 90k left to invest, now bearing in mind HSBC have been no help, when I told her what I was going to have to do, she had the cheek to ask me to let them invest it for me !!
Where are the best options to invest this sort of cash ? I don't want anything to do with HSBC.

If you need the money in the next 5 years investing it seems a very bad idea.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
