Unexpected CHAPS/International credit

I have checked my bank account online and have found an unexpected credit marked International of a little over £100 with a reference PCM55CI58829437. My bank say that the full information has not yet updated on their system as it was only received today. Should I worry that my account details have been compromised or is this more likely to be simply an error with the account number which will eventually be spotted and the amount reclaimed?

  • We had something very similar show on our account recently. Ours was from Natwest when our fixed rate expired and we took another deal out with them. You should know more either tomorrow or Monday (hopefully!).

I wish my details were compromised and money kept coming...rolleyes.gif

Account details aren't a secret and cannot be compromised (unlike card details).

If normal people had DDs setup on their current accounts to certain charity's, I wonder how many would request a full refund under the DD guarantee and how many would simply cancel the DD?

...and how many wouldn't notice them for years?
