about 3 weeks ago i brought some shorts from madhouse for my holiday. tried them on and they fitted ok so i took the labels off and took them away.
as the weather was poo i never wore then. when i put them on monday i noticed that the fastener thing on one of the drawstings is broken and thus wont stay where you want it to go.
i still have the receipt but not the labels that were on them. am i able to get an exchange? they havent been worn.

If you have the receipt the shop should honour a return, especially as they are "faulty goods" and it's not as if you just changed your mind.
Nothing to lose by asking anyway. I would say you have the law on your side.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

If you are only wanting an exchange I would have thought it would be ok.0

Ant, does it state the shop name?
if so then yes! take along the statement, folded discreetly! I've used this but they may only give you 'store credit' or do a swop for a pair that are A1, the only problem arises is if the item is now in the sale as that is what they ill refund/credit.Panda xx

Well if it is faulty you are also entitled to a full refund - even without a receipt (but of course a bank statement would help) but if you only want an exchange then thats great too. Either way, with it being faulty you can do as you pleaseDebts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]
