This is just up the road from me, it use to be broadway campsite if anyone remembers that.

Anyway I popped in for the first time the other day to look at membership for the gym and spa treatments etc and I have to say the site looks absolutely lovely and the main building looks fab. I didn't look at any of the lodges but when I came home looked at trip advisor and it seems to get good reports.

I know a lot of people look for hot tub breaks so thought I would post

Hi Claire. Just want to say thank you - I looked at the site after seeing the above post and have booked to go in the school holidays. The lure of our own hot tub was just too much for me and the reviews look ace

used to stay at Broardway when it was a touring site . Great location and suprised when it closed

Nice to hear it helped someone.

Anyway I went in the spa for a treatment and it was lovely, they run monthly special offers that seem a good price and I've booked to go again next week.

Talking to a friend who's son cleans the lodges, they are cleaned for 4 hours per lodge with a tick list of what needs to be done and if they miss anything their docked some of their wages, so seems like they are aiming high to get good reviews.

Also if there aren't enough activities on site, this is 10 mins away

They run lots of adventure type stuff and also have a dry ski slope.

Also local you have Cheddar Gorge, Wells and Wookey hole caves, Glastonbury , Street for Clark's village shopping outlet, beaches inc weston super mare but berrow and brean are nicer, with the fun fair at brean, most have tesco clubcard offers. A little further is Bristol, Bath and Longleat.

Cheddar has lots of pubs and a leisure centre as well as the reservoir you can walk round, Axbridge the next village has a farmers market some weeks.

They have to get back the 8 million pounds development costs plus the few million it cost to buy it I guess lol.

Anyway I'm taking the kids there today to try the sea scooters out as part of the go active timetable and booked a facial next week.

Edit just got back and mine were the only two in the session so had the pool to themselves, excellent guys running the go active session.

They seem to discount to half price for a last minute break too, 3 , 4 or 7 nights
