I have tried to refrain from commenting on this but as the OP I can tell you the first time I saw MaineBlues' comment I instantly recognised a troll/bully/keyboard warrior
I decided to completely ignore them and sincerely hoped others would do the same.
Why waste time on them?
But sadly Sid decided to intervene and I am not condemning Sid because he/she was only trying to help and had clearly been a victim themself.
What I have seen play out here is classic bullying behaviour and indeed group bullying. The people who support the bully generally do it because they are frightened of becoming the victim. Pity them.
The bully drives his victim to the point of desperation where they respond in kind and then the bully turns around and says 'Me bullying him??? Look at what he just said to me?'
As the OP I am fine, I was never in any way distressed by this, Sid thanks for your help but please please ignore this bully completely going forward. Do not respond, do not acknowledge, complain if necessary but in the background and to the right people
Oh and by the way MaineBlue apologies do not begin with the word 'if' the non apology is another bullying tactic.
I know it’s difficult when somebody has managed to get under your skin; I’ve been there and read the book (s) which is probably why such people don’t bother me in the slightest these days.
Just ignore them, don’t give them the oxygen of attention.
That’s what they hate most
Let them have the last word; they won’t enjoy it.
