Can't see the point in having a PS3 / PS4 AND having an Xbox.

I have an Xbox 360 slim (the kids' machine) and an Xbox One (mine).

I sold my PS3 and another Xbox 360 to help me fund for the Xbox One.

More and more people are buying the Xbox One, so well worth buying the latest Xbox, rather than a 360, imho.

Some amazing new games coming out soon for the One too.
Other than mortgage, debt free since June 2014:)

    That's interesting! Could you elaborate..?
Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.

Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?
A: We very much hope this isn't the case. But if it is, please make sure you report this, as you would any other forum user's posts, to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

    Also incorrect.

I wonder if IronWolf is getting confused over the initial Xbone reveal where the games were all to be account-based (instead of a mix of disc-based and account-based)? Microsoft's new system would let you be able to sell your account-based games, but obviously this idea was beyond the comprehension of some people.

Then the plan was scrapped anyway, so anyone thinking that you couldn't sell your games on Xbone would have been wrong twice.

I can't see anything in the news this week about no longer being able to play used games on the One, so if IronWolf wasn't simply doubly-confused over the reveal, I wonder where they got the idea?

Yeah Microsoft were simply testing the waters as it were, they quickly backtracked though.

I had an xbox one for a while, I am sure you needed to connect to the internet to install the game before playing...?

    I could be wrong.

If I remember correctly the XBox One needs to connect to the internet once when it is first used, after it has done what it needs to do it can be used offline permanently. I can't see why this would be an issue anyway, if you want to live in the past then get a Megadrive.

I think that last comment is incredibly short sighted. Not everbody lives with easy access to the internet.
