eTRV

Options
I have to write to tell you all about how eTRV have changed our dread of the heating season. We saved over £150 from our heating bills this winter due to having them fitted...

We kept to the settings out of the box and it offered a great level of comfort. We had a new born this winter too and with the digital thermostat grow egg we were given as a gift the temperature didn't move from 19 degrees once. It offered us an extra peace of mind along with the extra savings which really worked well with our lack of money coming in due to my partner being on maternity leave.

I was wondering if anyone else had experience with them? Have I just been lucky to find eTRV?

They are £49,99 each but I found them a great retrofit product.

A first time poster extolling the virtues of a particular type of expensive TRV smells like spam to me!

Yes, absolutely great, in any room you don't want to sleep in. Oh, hang on, isn't the idea to be able shut down the bedrooms in the day and have them come back on in the evening?

They are noisy when they open and close the valve as the motor winding away inside a cheap plastic housing makes a hell of a din - and they all suffer this problem.

I've got a few that I've taken back off the rads and stuffed them in a bag in the loft. They'll be more use up there insulating the loft than they are keeping me awake all night.
