They've been sat in the garage for 4 months, but I finally got them fitted.

    A late answer.
Not too bad, probably a little bit harder to balance, two weights on the front, one on the back of each, (steel wheel) but then ok on the machine.
Not on the car yet though.
Fitting for the two, plus a new valve, and rebalancing after the tyre was off to do it, on a third wheel. £20.

(Obviously I don't need winter tyres, before we start the debate again on them, as I am skilled enough to drive over the alps in a blizzard in winter on summer tyres with 1.6mm of tread, but I find the laws of physics neither read nor believe the internet posts I make about it.)

Exactly, but now the car is safe to let the missus have a go on the way home from the pub. :rotfl:

So it wouldn't be ok to say I was skilled enough to be able to drive in the dark, with no lights, after 8 pints, just using the force?

Only 8 pints, do you drink halves or something?

    That's ok then.

Any chance of a lift home next time?

Well, I've had these on the car for a week now.

No significant amounts of snow yet, but I've found that they grip well in the wet, are quiet and I've had no cause for complaint so far.

They've lasted a week? Sounds like you're onto a winner there.

So it takes you longer than a week to work out if a tyre grips?

    Impressive.
