Hi all,
I was sequestrated last year on the 17th May 2013. I was then discharged on the 17th May 2014. The trouble i now have is creditors from my sequestration are appearing on my credit report as settled/satisfied, however these are dated after my Sequestration date. Can anyone clarify if the default should be dated to before my day of sequestration or after my discharge date? Also some still have balances rather than settled/satisfied
Creditor Date of Default Balance
MotorMile Finance 06/04/2014 Settled
Barclays Bank PLC 01/06/2014 £1,316
Provident 16/06/2013 Satisfied
Provident 16/06/2013 Satisfied
CFO Lending 04/05/2014 £698
Mkdp Llp 16/05/2014 £2,326

Hi Gerry. Default dates should be approximate to the date of the Sequestration, i.e 17/05/13. From your list I can see Motormile kept the account active and settled it after your discharge, which can happen. You could ask them to mark the date of settlement as 17/05/13. If the other accounts are defaults, then you will need to forward your AIB docs to them, asking for the date of default to show as 17/05/13, with a satisfied balance. As it stands from your list, Barclays would be the last default to come off after 01/06/20, whereas there would be no record of your Sequestration after 17/05/19, so it would be good to sort these out.0
