Horizon Parking owned by Gavin Clarke - ex Sainsburys Head of Car Parking

It's amazing how Gavin Clarke the head of parking operations can leave Sainsburys and set up Horizon Parking with the ex owner of TCP (Smart Parking). Horizon Parking are now starting to operate in Sainsburys and Tescos. What a coincidence!

So a business decides to contract out the management of their car parks and goes with someone who knows their business and they know/trust?

It doesn't seem a coincidence or a surprise to me. If I operated a business and a former employee who left on good terms came to me selling a product/service that I needed then I'd be more likely than not to buy from them over another supplier who I don't have a relationship with.

I'm not sure what the point of this thread is. Is there some evidence that Horizon Parking are not operating fairly? or that there was some sort of mischief in how the contract was awarded to Horizon?

He is not the 1st person to leave a company and set up a business to be used by his former employer.


Do we know what he did before JS employed him? He might have been doing a similar job.
