Book recommendation for a young boy

I would highly recommend the Astrosaurs series or anything else by Steve Cole

Just perfect for a 6 year old, lots of different books, fab pictures and they come with collecter cards in the front too!!

I think on of his other series is Cows In Space!!

There are also some very good Doctor Who books.

In general boys like reading books about other boys just like them, or books with monsters or space-ships. It's important to find something that engages *them* rather than something that you think you'd like yourself - particularly when the time comes for them to start reading these books back to you. My son's an extremely reluctant reader and so I make sure that he gets to choose the sort of things that he reads, even if they're not to my particular taste.
