Child tax credits renewal

Can anybody tell me if I have to declare ppi compensation and interest paid on payout as other income on child tax renewal. I have looked at the information booklet that comes with the renewal pack and on line but can find nothing about disclosing ppi. I have also tried ringing the helpline but have been cut off twice after waiting twelve minutes.
Many thanks in advance for any replies!

Is the interest received over £300? If so you only need to state that amount, so if you say got £350 in interest then you'd declare £50 if that makes sense. Capital sums are not currently declarable.
  • Excellent you have saved a huge phone bill and a headache.
    Many thanks
