The 12 a month, this not set in stone as with giff gaff so can stop or decrease the amount as needed.
I was thinking that £49.86 a month reduced to £ 10-12 would be a lot better.
The phone is ours and also sim free
Ive been on Giffgaff for almost 18 months now. I was spending £12 per month on it, but it's now down to £7.50 per month.
You can go upto 3 months without topping up as all calls amd texts are free giffgaff to giffgaff - so the more friends you get onto GG the cheaper it is
Plus its good earner when you "recruit" people over to GG.0 -
I have been with giff gaff a couple of weeks and I'm on the £10 goody bag, I like how you can change them to suit your needs, am planning on putting dd on a plan then dh depending upon if we decide to buy out of his contract or not0

Do you have any other interest bearing debts that the £1700 of savings could be used to pay off first? eg. Credit card, store card, small loan.Competition Wins:

Hi hollibobs,
Not sure if you have made any decision regarding buying out the EE contract but you ought to check that you are not liable for the cost of the handset if you cancel the contract early. There's a thread on this board that I posted on yesterday where the OP had taken out a mobile contract via a website (https://www.buymobiles.net). He payed off his contract with the network but only then discovered that he was also separately liable for the retail price of the handset aswell. This was because in buying from this website he had one contract for the network airtime but the provision of the handset was subject to the terms and conditions of buymobiles.net.
You don't want to find yourself actually worse off somehow.0
