Cold calls re: Unclaimed ppi

Hi
I have received a number of cold calls from companies telling me that I have unpaid PPI to claim. I have never taken them up on their offers, but it did make me wonder if I do have unclaimed PPI? Is there a way that these companies check against our names. I'm only wondering because the last person who called me was incredibly insistent. So is there some sort of database these companies can check? I can't think of any PPI, but would obviously like to claim it if it turns out I have a valid claim.

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

There's no data base, the cold caller is paid commission for signing you up, whether you're paying ppi or not.
Unpaid ppi? Don't get conned, you don't re-claim ppi, you make a complaint that it was somehow mis-sold.
If you don't think you had it, it's difficult to see what your allegations about mis-sale would be?

There is no such thing as unclaimed PPI.

Yes. it is called the phone book. They start on page 1 and work their way down telling people lies until someone falls for it.

There is no database. Your data is not in the public domain. It is just part of the cold calling scam.
