Glue in oven question!

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help.
The rubber door seal strip in our oven has broken when you close th door, it flops out.
My question is, is there a glue that would stick this together and be ok under the higher temperatures inside the oven?
If it was not in the oven, probably superglue would work - would that be ok?
Any assistance or suggestions welcome!
Thanks

Hi Nilolai,
Super glue will break up with the heat.
The only real cure is a replacement seal TBH, but this stuff is the only thing that we'll use on ovens as it will take the heat, not cheap though.

I postd a similar thread; one reply said superglue lasted for 6 months and still going strong.:T0

Having experienced a recent problem with our oven door coming away from the hinges which are GLUED in place, we initially contacted Hotpoint and after an engineer visited to advise the whole door needs replacing at an exorbitant cost I searched on the net.
My searches came upon a product which is specifically tailored for the purpose, cheap and in practice very easy for the most cack handed person to do themselves.
Instructions come with the pack and are easy to follow and having now fitted my own door can recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone. Cost was under £7 and was from OvenDoorGlue.co.uk.0
