As Lloyds have changed their vantage interest rates come July, 1st. I was looking for some other account where i can put my 10K (from 2 vantage account) and came across bank of scotland vantage account.
It states, I need to pay 1000£/month (no DD required) and this will act like my vantage account, Is their anything I am missing here as I dont see this account advertised anywhere (not even in Moneysupermarket).
I have santander123 and have 2TSB accounts full.
Cheers

You don't seem to be missing anything in what you have read about the account.
At present, the monthly £1000 can be moved between the two accounts as necessary and no DDs are required (however, as with any account, keep a watch out for any future changes to requirements and/or interest rates).
ps
It is advertised and discussed in several places, including MSE forums.

If taken out in April or May (and possibly very early June), trust you have remembered to update your 2 x TSB accounts to paperless correspondence as well as paperless statements.butterfly )i(0 -
I agree with both of the above posts - although it gets a mention here and there, it isn't as prominently featured as it probably ought to be in the 'best buy' guides on here and elsewhere. To all intents and purposes it's an identical product to the pre-July Lloyds Vantage (same interest, monthly funding, balance cap, lack of DD requirement, etc) but doesn't get a mention in the MSE pieces on best bank accounts or the savings 'loophole', although they've never been advertised as being a comprehensive analysis of all offerings.
I have three of these to go with my Lloyds and TSB ones and am happy with them, except for the most recent account opening process, when I couldn't do it online and had to open by phone instead (30 minute call), but that may have just been unlucky....0 -
I also have 3 of these and ramjug hasn't missed anything
.
Anybody's guess, though, how long these will be around with their current T&Cs :cool:0 -
Hi - I'm looking into these Bank of Scotland accounts. How many can you open at once in branch? I'm thinking 3 for me and 3 for my wife. 3 joint as well if possible... Alternatively, could I open multiple accounts over the phone?0

To all the people, who already have this account. Do internal transfers count towards monthly 1000£?0

Just tried opening an account Online and got struck at 'Choose your branch' page. Called them and they asked me to try some options but that didn't work either, so have asked me to call them tomorrow to check whats happening to my application.
Not the very best of starts IMO.0 -
I just went for somewhere in Edinburgh.IANAL etc.0

Thanks vectistim, managed to figure it out. Strange that their call center didn't tell me that or gave me that option to check..0
