Scan and print

I have a document I need to copy and alter without having to retype it all, I am sure there is a way to scan it alter and reprint but do not have a clue how to do this, please go easy never done this before.

My scanner came with OCR software included which allows conversion to Word format etc.

Alternatively you could use an on-line OCR service e.g. here

Depending on the document, copy and paste might be the easiest.

1. Scan document as .jpg at 300dpi in greyscale if coloured text, or black and white if standard black text.

2. Save document e.g. to desktop

3. Upload to http://www.onlineocr.net/

4. Save the converted document as a Word Document and edit as required.
