ASDA-Bloxwich Smart Parking Letter

Purple2014
Hi
I have only just got back from my 11 day holiday, and in the post I had a letter from Smart Parking that I had overstayed, they have evidence in form of photo of my enterance and exit (I was gone for 3 hrs). I had no idea that you had to pay for long stay parking. I never saw a sign at all my years living in Bloxwich and shopping at ASDA about it (I will comfirm about this sign later today when I will look). The letter says that there was a sign that clearly displays this. The letter also says that if I don't pay in 14days I will have to pay 70£ instead of 40£ also fail to respond may lead to civil legal action.
That day I went offsite down the high street for hairdressers appiontment and my mother's came back to ASDA and brought 2 items, unfortunatly I no longer have proof.
11 days are already lost, can or should I fight it? or just pay 40£ while I still can. how do I write my appeal? Or should I copy and paste the template in the newbie thread?
I will either edit this post or reply about the signage.
Thanks
Purple.

You've clearly read the Newbie thread so I'm amazed you have to ask. Just get on and appeal.
And complain like hell to Asda."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
Smart parking don't go within a mile of courts. Appeal as suggested and let us know the outcome which will probably be a rejection, then we move to stage 20

just got back from ASDA, there are signs for parking with the conditions on it and smart parking logo on it. the only thing i can complain about that the signs are to small and high. its too weak and I dont think i can appeal and win.0

REALLY ???????????
So you haven't really read the Newbies thread then ?
Of course you can complain, complain that Asda are penalising customers that spend MONEY in their stores and that there are other supermarkets available.
Now stop being daft and get that appeal to Smart sent off.:mad::mad:"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
to the OP , I hardly think you are knowledgeable enough about these issues to decide what you can or cannot appeal on , not without a lot of research or training
this is why the NEWBIES thread at the top of this forum tells you everything you need to know, it has been honed for almost 18 months to the point of perfection , in order to tell NEWBIES what they need to know , what they can appeal on , and why
so I repeat the previous advice given to you
please read the NEWBIES thread and use the appeal template letter
the grounds for the appeal are within that letter (all 3 of them)0 -

So if they put on the sign that overstayers will be beheaded, do you think that would be enforceable? Would you just kneel down and put your head on the block? No? So what makes you think anything else it says on the sign is enforceable?Je suis Charlie.0 -

Smart almost always just cancel when they get sent the appeal template from the NEWBIES thread, and if not then the sticky tells you how to win at POPLA and explains what that is...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Don't use that in the appeal, follow the instructions on here. I know that car park, there is a massive sign on the way in, it clearly states 2 hours, so they're simply reject that. Use the format as advised.0 -
Hi there,
Go complain to the store manager, if you are a customer take all your receipts and tell them you will shop elsewhere in future.
It works.

Yet another car park that did not need "managing".
I'm not a regular visitor but never had a problem parking when I have shopped there.
