DLC Debt Collection Agency

Good morning,
I apologise if this is in the wrong section.
A couple of days ago I received and email from DLC, asking me to contact them urgently - they know my full name and email address. I did a bit of digging in to who they are, and found that they are a debt collection agency. I am surprised that I would receive an email from such people, when the only debts I have (overdraft and credit card) are both managed properly and I have never missed a payment on them.
5 years ago I had a debt with Orange and a store card, both of which I missed payments on. I ended up settling both accounts with a lump sum, ending the agreements. Orange is showing as 'Satisfied' and the store card as 'Settled' on my credit report.
I am assuming that they might be getting in contact about these, but as I have paid off my debts some time ago I do not know what to do? I no longer have proof of payment, as it was so long ago.
I've worked very hard to repair the damage to my credit rating and have had a clean record over the last 4 years. I am hoping to buy a house in the next two/three years and can't afford to have a poor credit rating.
Does anybody have any experience/advice for dealing with these people?

Ignore them. Ignore them hard, until they send you something more concrete.
They are just phising currently.0 -
Thanks Gordon Hose.
I haven't received anything in the post from them. I've recently moved to another city, when I went to collect my post from my old house the new tenant said he had been returning to sender - so I can't be 100% certain. They did text, which freaked me out a bit.
They've requested permission to send me the information via email. When I know what it is I will post it. I've checked my credit file and there is nothing on there outstanding nor anything I do not recognise.0 -
Just ignore them completely.0
