Well done SSE
We moved from NPower to SSE about a year ago. As it was the summer we built up a large credit on both gas and electricity. Given the mild winter this did not get consumed by the end of May.
I put in an actual meter reading and requested a refund of £200. This was paid back to our bank without undue problems.
A couple of weeks later and around the anniversary of start of service with SSE, a billed turned up showing that we were still in credit after the £200 refund. The bill stated that this would automatically be refunded within a few days.
SSE have also reduced our DD.
This is the kind of service I expect from a utility but which seems very rare...

I have to agree with you, Like you I was in credit to the value of £319 this was paid into my bank account within 3 days, they also wanted to drop my d.d. by £5 but as its a small amount I have left it at the original.....might be a bad winter this year.
They have always been helpful on the phone..I have been happy with them....glad to leave N. power!!!0
