Halifax ( Cardcare) and Barclaycard (Sentinal Gold)

Hi , I am confused ... My wife has had a letter stating that her card care protection is being discontinued... this was from Card care which was arranged with/ via the Halifax. Card care ( or so the letter says) is an appointed representative of Lifestyle Services Group Ltd as authorised/ regulated by the Financial Conduct authority.

She cannot remember how long she has had this ( it goes on for years) ... but said tonight that it was just sent to her from Halifax and she thought it was a requirement to have ... This is all the info she has to hand .... does this come under a possible claim under ppi mis-selling ?

I to hold/held card protection via Barclaycard , which I think was sentinal gold .. or something similar ... even I cannot remember how this come about .. but it must be a many years that this was first initiated ... I am 61 .. so the old head is not so sharp these days, what is the easiest way to get these checked out please

I too have Halifax CardCare, which I think took over Sentinel Gold, and have been told it's being discontinued.

I have credit card protection and also cover for my keys. I can see why they've withdrawn the credit card cover - you now get that automatically with most 'premier' current accounts (I've got it with Nationwide's Flex-Plus account) - but the loss of the key cover is really quite crucial. I have a little tag on my keyring, and if the keys ever get lost someone phones the number on the tag and sends them to a central location from where they wend their way back to me. It's very reassuring.

Does anyone know whether such a key cover service still exists? With my 13-year-old daughter now having her own keys, I want her to have a tag so her keys could be recovered if she lost them, quite apart from any forgetfulness or holes in trouser pockets on my part.
