Renewing tax credits - declaring jobseekers

When renewing my tax credits, I gave them my partners earnings for the last financial year. Included in that is the jobseekers allowance he received for 4 months of this time. Not sure if I should have included that or is it disregarded? Its not clear on their website. They also don't tell you they knock off a certain amount for maternity leave too.

It depends on what type of jobseeker's it was. If it is income-based you need to tell them but it doesn't count as income (but you get maximum tax credits for the period you were on it) and if it is contribution based it does count as income.

They don't knock off money for maternity leave - it is only if you receive statutory maternity pay/adoption/paternity pay they disregard the first £100.

It was contributions based so I guess I don't have to do anything now as I've already included that! Yes i got stat maternity pay and they have deducted the relevant amount. thanks!
