Going back to the OP I would not refund. It is up to the buyer to get the best deal. If you are going to refund in this situation then why not refund buyers who could have brought it cheaper from someone else on Ebay?

Although I know where you are coming from. My OH says the same of me. I sold a very low value item to someone in USA that wasn't that special and I am sure you could have got over there. The postage was three times the cost of the item so I sent them another one for free as it didn't effect the postage cost.

I know you are right, OH says I am too soft and he's right - I run a business lol...so no refund

Edit: I've refunded the excess P&P only so I can sleep tonight !

Many of us can't cancel anyway until the payment shows as refunded.

You just mark as payment not received and then the report a problem link appears (basic my selling or purchase history on the listing).

Refunding under "other" will most likely give you a defect, otherwise everyone would use it and they'd be no defects which defects the purpose of having them. I don't think even eBay are that stupid.

I don't refund in those circumstances. I sell a widget singly and in a multipack and have a link on both listings referring to the other listing saying "if you need more/less than x click here which could save you money" so as the info is out there it's buyers decision.

Alternately you could set it up as a MVL listing with the option of buying 1 or 2.
