Can I sue a delivery company for time wasting?

Ok obviously the title is an exaggeration

But yeah I had a scheduled delivery "Any time 9AM-5pm on Tuesday 17th June 2014" for a very important document from DX Secure (the company the government uses to send out things like passports)

I've sat here for 7 and a half hours now.. it's half four and still nothing.. let's face it, it's not going to come is it.. completely wasted my day.. ugh.. rant over

Why would you think it wont come ? most delivery companies will still be trying to deliver past 5pm ,. Have you tried calling to check what time they are expected ?

I have had deliveries come past 6.30pm quite frequently recently. Annoying when you have waited in all day. I think I must be last on Yodel's schedule.

Update: It came! I was given a 9-5 time slot but it came at 6:20.. hm. Meh
