Afternoon all,
First I just wanna say the help guides I have found on here have been an amazing help and thanks to all that contribute to this forum.
I’m a complete newbie at all this and still getting my head around it all.
Basically I have a quick question,
I received a parking ticket from JAS parking on my windscreen just over a week ago, as my car is leased I sent an appeal that night via e-mail, (used the appeal in the main thread)
My question is should I leave this now or send them a e-mail to chase up if they are going to accept or reject my appeal??
Thanks in advance guys:)

You have done the right thing appealing as driver in this case as it is a combination of the fact that it was a lease car and it was JAS who often fail to send NTKs and go straight to debt collector stage.
Assuming you got an auto response to the email as evidence you sent appeal, just sit tight and wait for the rejection before you then hit them with a well worded forum assisted POPLA appeal. They have a time limit in which they have to reply.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Thanks for replying so quickly,
That’s the thing I never got an auto response from their e-mail so I can’t be certain it was actually received by them, but it is saved in my sent items on e-mail should i need to prove it0 -
If in doubt send the email again exactly as before with added sentence that you are sending this again as you received no receipt/ auto response for original appeal, but to ignore if they received the first one. Request a read receipt. You are still within original timescale for appealing. And then sit tight again till you hear back.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Dream on! They just want your money and very few PPCs cancel at the first appeal. You need to be prepared to dig yourself in for the long-haul. Anything less will be a bonus!

JAS tend to cancel when they see the forum aided popla appeals after submission
there have been quite a few on here this year so just find one and adapt it once you have your popla code
also do not wait too long before sending a printed appeal with free certificate of posting at a P.O (NOT recorded). as these numptys issue it to debt collectors after 28 days , so any written follow up appeal wants to go in maybe 3 weeks after the contravention , at most 25 days after (if you dont hear back with a popla code, or a cancellation , lol)0 -
Thanks guys,
I've sent a second e-mail with a read receipt on and if I don't hear anything in a week I'll post a printed version in the post at least then there can be no doubt that I have appealed this.

As long as you get a free Certificate of Posting from you PO. Don't bother with 'Signed For' (aka Recorded Delivery) - save the cost of that! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. ok so I got a response nice and quickly this morning to say its cheeky is an understatment. how do you guys suggest i respond to this?
Thank you for your internet copy and paste format.
Can you please tell me on what grounds you are appealing? Were you a customer? If so can I have you reservation details.

If you were a Travelodge customer - or an occupant of the car was - then say so and tell them you will not divulge your reservation details to a third party parking firm. Then add that it was pretty clear that your main grounds were that old chestnut 'no GPEOL' which is one that POPLA will consider in any case so you really have nothing further to add as your appeal was as clear as their lack of GPEOL!
Make sure (unusually as it's a lease car) you admit you were the driver in this case and add your POSTAL ADDRESS AND FULL NAME of course otherwise they can still revert to getting the keeper's data!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
