Meerkat Toys

Options
Hi

On their website it says claim your free Meerkat Toy, when you click that it asks you to fill in your home address and that's it.

So my question is, do they send the toy for free when you fill that in?

You have to take out one of the stated insurance policies to claim a toy.

So do you have to have an account with them etc?
Because it said insurance etc.. but doesn't ask for any details apart from your home address

    It clearly states :

To get free meerkat toys get car or home insurance or switch energy through comparethemarket.com.

Once they check it and try to find your account, I doubt it will turn up.

To be fair, its not very honest to even apply when you know that you havent complied with the terms.

    Yeah thought that.
Just got worried lol, I selected insurance and just put my home address in then it said your toy is on its way.

I have no reference number or anything so im guessing they will check to see if I have an account

unfortunately its false claims for freebies that can end up in them being pulled for genuine claims.

It's very easy to do though, I thought id be asked for bank details etc
  • Do people really even decide that they will buy insurance for the sake of a stupid toy?

I'm sure Oleg will keep you feeling warm & fluffy when you realise you've bought some utter garbage cover by selecting the cheapest quote at the top of the list.

I'll give Budget Insurance their due, their marketing people have played a blinder.
