Website said product was in stock but wasn't

Hi, not sure if this is where I'm meant to be posting as I'm new to this but I would appreciate any advice,
I bought a bathroom suite online & received an email saying all items had been paid for & dispatched. All items came on time apart from the bath which was missing,I rang the company to be told the bath was out of stock & they didn't know if or when it would be back in stock(even though on their website it stated the bath was still in stock).I feel like the company have lied to get a sale,as I only ordered from them as on every other website the bath was out of stock,
What are my rights? Thx

Send it all back since they have failed to complete the order.

    Or

    Wait

If there are none in stock then not much you can do.

As we had already took time off work & ripped out the old stuff I kept everything that they sent,or we would've been left with nothing they refunded the bath, but I don't think big company's like this should get away with it,how many other people could they have done this too? Surely their must be a way of making them pay?

The way you 'make them pay' is to ask for a refund on the bath and buy it elsewhere, if/when you can. Things go out of stock - it sounds like the supplier was OOS and they didn't realise to update the website in time. It happens, which isn't great but it's not particularly unusual either.

You could ask if they will send a different bath instead for the same price, assuming it's a more expensive replacement and that the suite isn't particularly stylised so it wouldn't look strange.

As you've already used the stuff you did receive, not much you can do about that - you've accepted it by using it.
