Outside of Aberdeen end Edinburgh, the market won't move a mm until the referendum result is known on 19th Sep; if it's 'yes' then house prices will collapse.0

I can see how the referendum might be a modest influence.
However, I live outside these property hotspots. The majority of properties for sale that I am interested in viewing which I book-marked a few weeks ago are already under offer (and I book marked a couple of dozen). Some have sold in under a week of being advertised.
I haven't had many viewings for my place which is a family sized house and found out after marketing it that it's the worst time of year due to families being on holiday who tend to look much earlier in the year so as to be in the new property before the start of term in mid Aug. I've bought it to market too late.
If I don't shift it in the next month or so, I will pull it off the market, fix the defects listed in the Home report and put it on the market early in the new year, though I know that the proposed interest rate rises might make the market go quiet.
I will also push back on the browsers and tyre kickers that have plagued me by having a two stream approach to viewings. Anyone who is proceedable can view by appointment. Those who aren't, and especially those haven't put their own properties on the market, can view on Thurs eve or Sunday afternoon, group viewings.0
