Our mini TLC (servicing package) has just finished and mini have offered TLC XL for £275 which covers the next 3 years servicing.
Has anyone taken this out? it seems a really good price for servicing at the Mini dealership. I havn`t a clue what a mini service would cost if we didn`t have it, assuming it would be a lot Please can anyone offer any advice? Many thanks

I would go for it. Even a basic service is approx £150-£200 a pop from any main dealer.0 -
Many thanks Paul, I had a feeling a service would be pricey but the dealerships don`t put prices on their websites! Think we would be daft not to go for it on that basis.0

3 x services for £225? I would check what they actually do for that. Check the tyre pressures and send you on your way?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I haven`t a clue what they do at a mini service, mini is hubby`s. My car goes to an independent mechanic who has serviced it for years and does what is needed. Thought mini had to go to a mini dealer or place that does all the diagnostic stuff (messages that come up on the dashboard to say it needs this and that?)0

Mini service packs are so confusing! It would be so much easier if they just gave you a choice of a interim or a full service (using those terms!).
That said...a part service for my Mini costs £250 at a main dealer and a full service is £300. You need to pay more for new brake pads and what not. Prices may be different at your local dealer but I believe the prices are standard.
If that price is for the full service then you have got yourself a real bargain. Despite being hideously expensive to buy and maintain, Mini do tend to be quite keen on promoting brand loyalty so it might be something to do with that. Double check with the dealer and if it sounds like a full service...buy it! (It's good value even with the part service!).
Or save money and go to a local garage...but even then I don't think you could get 3 services for that price (plus I don't trust anybody but Mini with my Mini).

Thanks KatieDee, think he is going to take it out. He has had the TLC since buying the car and its not cost much at any service so am sure in the long run will be worth it. I`ll give them a ring tomorrow and check what services are actually due/included over the next 3 years.
I appreciate what you say about Mini looking after your Mini0 -
TLC XL seems like good value to me, and will be useful even when you sell it on, or trade it in. Bit that got me is TLC only includes ONE brake fluid change. But the service intervals mean no matter what your mileage, you'll need TWO. This doesn't look like the all-inclusive servicing they advertise it as...0
