Buy one and resell it. Last time i asked 7 seaters and minibuses were in high demand and you have to book months ahead to ensure you got one.

At random £1,003 from Manchester 1-14 August or £524 in July from Glasgow.
What base price, location, dates etc are you working from?0 -
Thanks. I am looking for a car in Romford, London from 23 July to 2 August.0

Make a point of checking out reviews of who ever you book with. Such a limited niche vehicle is easy to take a nice expensive booking for, in the hope they can get the vehicle, or more likely, palm the hirer off with an "equivalent" on pick-up day.0

hire companies give decent rates for longer rentals.
E.g. take it for a weekend, it will cost you £200. Take it for a week, it will cost you £350.
Do not buy and sell the vehicle just because you need it for 2 weeks like the guy above suggested. Short term insurance is very expensive. My bro used my car and he paid £50 to insure one day. That's 1/20th of the insurance of the whole year.
Also you'll have to hold the car until you can flip it. Flipping cars is stress and time consuming. So many random people arrive and you have to test drive with them etc. Hiring is probably going to be cheaper - definately considering insurance cost of your own vehicle.
I'd be surprised if anyone can give you the "cheapest company" - did you do a google search for available hire companies and then seek quotes from them?
7 seaters being what they are (mini cab/family use) they are usually automatics0 -
Perhaps the real answer is: members of the forum do not have the experience to answer this. You are best ringing round a few companies.
7 seater automatics should not be too difficult to locate - for example they are popular for shuttle duties at events.0 -
Definitely ring around. You live in Romford and there should be loads of independent hire car companies within 5-10 mile radius of you.The man without a signature.0

Thank you so much for all your kind replies. I will try local hire companies to see how it goes.0

Traffic self drive are very cheap. Im using them at the moment due to my wifes car going bye bye. Much cheaper than anywhere else but you will find all car hire places put up thier prices during the summer months due to the demand from tourists etc0
