When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :money:

Morning everyone :wave: happy Tuesday, over Monday that's always a relief!

Today I have an interview for a position I really want. Hope I've done enough preparation & sell myself enough to secure it!

Welcome mumofthetwins! Great start to posting on the thread :D

solvencyseeker hope your dh is starting to feel better

DFW things for the day:

* checked banking
* check onepoll
* decide on whether to go all out formal for interview or a little more relaxed. The post is working with homeless people so don't want to be out of place. mmmmmm need to ponder
* drop dgd at friend's this morning, oh picking up tonight
* speak to oh about going to Portuguese tonight. It will mean he will have dgd on his own this evening so might have to cancel
* order Portuguese book & cd from Amazon (will offset this cost from expenses as have to drive to office for a video conference today & will get £35 back for approx £10 petrol)
* all meals from stores
* spag bol in SC for dinner
* grab milk while out
* check air, water & oil
* bath & blow dry hair
* call timber place and order decking
* call plumber and confirm work is starting on Friday

Think that's all I'll have time for. Have a great day x

    A dight round with a cloot won't hurt either
    Dishwashers on
    Hand wash some clothes as we've still not decided on the washing machine (its at the flat and we can't decide if its better to let it with or without white goods/partially furnished.
    A wee walk somewhere later with TRG and houndlets.
    Write up blog/update details on gardening website/fb etc.

    So that should do for today. Have a great one chaps - waves to all.

    - washing line drying
    - use up the veg in the fridge before it gets too bendy
    - tidy up, house looks like a bomb site

    Motorbike was picked up yesterday for repair quote. Fingers crossed...
