I recently bought an item from Azzyshop via Amazon, the item was faulty and couldn't be used. I contacted Amazon who responded saying that the seller had approved the return. I therefore returned the item incurring postal charges. Azzyshop refuse to refund the cost of me returning the goods as they say that they didn't authorise the return of the goods and Amazon state that under their policy sellers are not obliged to returN the postage.
I'd understood that as the goods were not fit for purpose then I am entitled to a refund of the return postage costs. I do think I'm fighting a losing battle with them as the Director of Azzy shop is also the boss of Sovitech ltd and has been charged with fraud against Royal Mail relating to postal charges of £668,000!
Does anyone think this is worth pursuing against a giant like Amazon?

No.
You would not be pursuing Amazon but the seller. The question is; is it worth pursuing the seller?
In the meantime I would put a bit more pressure on Amazon they might pressurise the seller a bit more.0
