Recommend a plinth heater please.....

As above, putting a plinth heater into our galley kitchen, removing radiator to add in extra units.... want it as a wet system so comes on with central heating etc.....

Thanks

Try smiths Plinth heater on Google. Seems like they are one of few reputable members of Plinth heater. Or u can get slightly cheaper generic ones from amazon.

One note, check if the flexible pipes are included. U may find a more powerful version which is expensive to inludes the pipes while smaller ones don't with smiths heater. So maybe false economy to buy cheaper model as these pipes can be a bit expensive.

I fitted a Smiths plinth heater in my kitchen some years ago, it's been absolutely great . . . . . However . . . . They have 2 fan speeds, low & high with 2 corresponding heat outputs. When I sized mine to the room I used the heat output on the high fan setting. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I did find that the noise of the fan on high could be quite intrusive at night. It doesn't help that I live in quite a small bungalow so the bedroom isn't far from the kitchen. If I were to do it again then I would use the output on the low fan speed to size it. Hope this helps :)

As someone said noise of fan can be a bit high. Depends how much r u botheredby such things.

Another vote for a Myson plinth heater. Bought it from Plumbnation as it was the cheapest online! We also bought a separate thermostat for it, so it can be adjusted by itself whilst still being on the central heating F&R .

We have had the kitchen radiator removed pending a new kitchen , but intend to use our DeLonghi oil filled radiator ( Bought for this purpose and the fact that the heating system broke down).

It is cheaper than a plinth heater, uses residual heat and can be used elsewhere ,if required. No noise and it can be stored in a cupboard, when not in use.
