Full credit to you for thinking of her feelings, and I am sure you will have a great relationship in the future. My view is that kids are pretty resilient, and as long as she feels included and cared for, she won't mind much where she sleeps. When I first got married to my second wife, I had two small girls and she had two larger ones (had kids early/late in previous relationships), and only two bedrooms. One very crowded weekend we ended up with my daughter (7) sleeping in my newly-built workshop surrounded by machinery in packing crates - it was summer, so why not? she didn't like the visiting earwigs, so we moved her to a mattress on the floor in a hallway. All fine. If there is a loving atmosphere, it doesn't really matter who sleeps where.

I think the idea of getting her a sofa bed for the living room and a locker for her things is a great one. She will feel looked after, as you have really considered her needs, and she gets to watch the big telly. I would have loved this as a child. Plus, if she has a locker/storage, she can leave some of her stuff with you and that will make it feel more like home for her.
If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.

I would fully imagine the OP would exercise some ground rules with re : to the big TV!
