HiSave ICICI Account

My husband and I started the process of opening one of these savings accounts on 6th June and it's still not up and running! On 22nd June (the first communication from them since first applying) HiSave e-mailed to say they needed us to resubmit all our documents (fortunately we'd kept copies!) which we did immediately and since then there's been a deathly silence. Anyone else had this problem? We're getting seriously frustrated as we have approx £140,000 to invest (currently sitting in a regular 5% bank savings account) and we're losing out on a daily basis. Help!!!

I had the same problems with them but unfortunately I had not kept copies of the documents! Their instructions about what documents are also not clear and they have not responded to my complaint in 2 weeks! So I'm off to IceSave instead as they were super helpful.0 -
As long as you haven't sent them an initial deposit of more than £1 I'd personally look elsewhere - e.g. Icesave.
I have posted elsewhere of similar problems opening HiSave a/c. My process started on 5th May and just this morning received access password.after repeated 'phone calls and e-mails. Accessed account to verify my £1 was actually there and then tried to transfer funds in from linked account only to receive message informing there is no linked account set up. 'Phoned them about this, twice, and they say the linked account IS set up. I personally don't think they have a clue and would not trust them with anything more than the £1 they already have. I was cut off on 1st call because I think she didn't know what to do. The 2nd was no better, he eventually asked me to 'phone again tomorrow!! again I think because he didn't know what to do.

Thank you - I think you may be right! Although I have read some negative feed back about IceSave as well........why is nothing ever simple?!0

Hisave ICICI -
I experienced what I can only class as stalling tactics. They initially asked for a utility bill and I sent a recent gas bill plus a copy of my driving licence as proof of ID all certified by a police officer.
They replied saying that I had not given them sufficient proof of address, ID, and full certifiers details. My bill carried my address, my driving licence has my date of birth but I confess I had not included the address of the certifier only his tel no.
I therefore e-mailed them with full details of the certifier.
They then contacted me to say that a gas bill is not on their list of acceptable documents, that I have not submitted evidence of my date of birth and the contact details of the certifier is not mentioned.
I therefore e-mailed them to tell them to stuff their account. My gut feeling was that incompetence at the start does not bode well for the future.0
