Who do I use to re render a house?

I have a house that was inspected by a building surveyor due to damp appearing through the walls. He says a couple of the exterior walls needs re-rendering. Not sure who i would contact to get the job done? Do I contact a specialist rendering company (assuming they exist) or what?
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

Plasterer - find a local one who is recommended if you can.

We had a plasterer do the garage.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Builders will use plasterers to do this, so if you can't find a recommended plasterer direct, a well- respected builder is next on the list.0

OK thanks. I always thought it was a highly specialised so it just goes to show how little I know. I didn't know plasters could do it on the outside of the house as well.0

hang on a bit ???
If you have damp, then the walls must be damp or water is getting in somewhere. If the render that is already there is falling off or badly cracked then damp might be getting in through there. otherwise it is daft rendering over the top with sand and cement (basic render).
Silicone renders that breath or lime based render is the answer.
search Webber or K-Rend applicators. Decopierre or Stonecoat use lime based stuff, but it all depends on your budget. If you are selling fine, if you intend to stay..... get it done proper as they say.
Depending where you are in the UK, can change the price and if a plasterer say they don't do the above renders, they just can't .... so shop around.:cool:0 -
The existing render is going to be taken off first as it has blown in various places.0

Russ
I absolutely have to disagree with that Russ, the OP needs a builder who specialises and has a good reputation in rendering/pebble dashing etc. It's not about the finish it's more about the process and the chemistry. Most out and out plasterers aren't specialist in the area.
We are lucky and have a reasonably local guy that seems to get 75% of the work around here.
He did my bungalow 10 years back, (still perfect), I asked him what his secret was and why he was more successful than the rest.
His rather dry answer, "we actually put cement in our mix":D:D He was also adamant that you need a team of 3 guys to keep the seamless wet edges required for a proper job if it's anything other than patching up.
Having seen some crumbled efforts around, I think he was quite serious.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
