Top shrunk in wash- no receipt!

As titled- I bought a top from Next 2 weeks ago , wore it this weekend, washed according to the care label , only to find it`s shrunk by a few inches!
I looked at the online reviews for this item and it appears to be a common problem -they nearly all said the same thing.

I will be returning the item tomorrow but unfortunately have no receipt. I paid by cash.

What I`m asking is , will I get a refund , as the item is not fit for purpose, or just a credit note? I don`t mind just so long as they don`t just replace the top-I`ve gone off it now:D

tbh if they do give you either a credit note or a refund I'd be very surprised.......after all its abit strange that you've gone off the top after wearing it

Ha ha , no I meant I`d gone off it because it had shrunk and if I got another one it was likely to do the same thing. Before I washed it , it was great!

The fact that it shrunk after washing according to instructions , and that other people have had the same thing happen , indicates there it a fault with the material of the top.

You won't get a refund. As a goodwill gesture they may give you an exchange or credit.

I got a refund card with no expiry time on it , which I`m happy with. There was no problem about having no receipt as the item was faulty.
So good customer service from Next!
