Kitchen worktop varying prices

Hi everyone
I'm revamping a kitchen in a house I just bought. In true MSE style, I'm just going to change the doors and worktops. However, sourcing these things have been more confusing than I thought.
Worktops - I want a nice solid wood one. I liked the look of a 27mm thick oak worktop at a Homebase store, I searched it online and found it priced at around £500. Then I looked at B&Q and they had one that seemed exactly the same for £213. Then I got a tip off online that B&Q sources their worktops from Ikea and when I looked there they had the same thing for £100 (though about 2/3 the dimension, still).
Why are there such variations in price? Is the quality really that different? Where would you recommend I get it from?

Don't know about b and q sourcing their worktops from ikea.
We have just fitted an ikea kitchen but got solid oak worktops from worktop express. Vey happy with the quality and delivery was ridiculously quick0
