Philips Lumea question about shaving

I have the Lumea too and it worked for me. I was pretty sceptical when buying it but I have hair problems due to hormone issues, so it was a last resort.
I have pale skin/dark hair and it's worked perfectly with me. Although I would say it took a lot longer than the time suggested for it to really work. I've only ever tried it with shaving, but have been really impressed with it.0 -

Ooh I am so excited to use it but haven't yet plucked up the courage to tell. Mr Anon I have bought it!! I am going on hols in 6 weeks so wanted to get started before that although I appreciate that I won't see a difference before then!
I haven't shaved anywhere for years - do I shave then use it then shave in between until 2 weeks later where I use it again?? Oh and which are the best disposable razors?
Thanks for any tips!
Edited - I actually have a ladyshave head for my epilator - can I use that? And is it worth exfoliating the day before to coax any ingrowing hairs out?0 -
Congrats on your purchase Anoneemoose, I hope you and everyone else get results.
I used mine on Thursday for the first time.. I ended up shaving, I only used it on my chin and toes to start with... I haven't noticed any difference yet (some people say from the first treatment they notice) hair on my chin is back today so I had to shave it again and now wait for 2 weeks until the next treatment, I guess I'll have to shave in between treatments because the hair will grow back:(
you cannot use it on the nipples, it says on the manual
I used a cheap disposable razor, I don't think it will make much difference?
oh and I'm also a perfect candidate, dark hair , pale skin... I hope I can see an improvement with further treatments0 -
Stick with it. It took a while for mine to properly start to show, but I have no underarm hair left now. I decided to start with the underarms to see how I got in (instead of investing lots of time doing everywhere for it not to work), and was so sceptical at first. I now just need to do 'top ups' every so often to keep the hairs at bay.
Now going to start on the legs, but they're 35" long and there's too much to do!0 -
Is it okey to shave between treatments? I am using the product now for the second time and still having facial hair growing back after 3-4 days so I want to shave betweent treatments too but I'm afraid that maybe it will not help having a good result.0
