I don't think crap tyres would stop me buying a car that seemed otherwise ok, I'd just have to factor in the cost of new tyres.

Anyone know the best and cheapest used car inspection service that checks everything with the car to see whether everything is working?

Also do they provide a guarantee for example if they say car has passed inspection then on the next day the clutch goes then will I be compensated?

Said it before and I'll say it again - the best is very rarely the cheapest.

if you're not prepared to pay a few quid to have the car properly checked you can't complain if (when?) issues arise once you've bought it.

Also, I'm pretty sure a quick google would answer your questions (as usual).

They cannot check a clutch other that test drive it and see if it slips.

It maybe 20 or 50 miles away from the slipping point or it maybe 20 or 50,000 miles away from slipping. Nobody knows unless you take it out and examine it.
But if you do that you may as well replace it.

I thought you had bought a car already?

Handbrake on, 5th gear, hold the revs up, drop the clutch, see how long it takes to stall.
  • bery did you end up buying the Mazda in Scotland or just put a deposit down?

An Army friend of mine always used to complain about the quality of the kit issued and how often it needed to be replaced.

His favourite phrase was 'buy cheap, buy twice'

Arnold Clark do they own pre-delivery inspection but should I believe in this?

How long are they holding the car before you lose your money?

If tha AC inspection is like Carcrafts expect to drive away in a car that would fail an MOT.

Hopefully the inspection will make me decide whether to lose my money or not.

Since theres no replies to my question then I assume RAC inspection are the best out there and i will use them or correct me if im wrong.
