  • Recently we were stuck in the middle of nowhere after my mum and dads car broke down. Literally in the Scottish Highlands.

Thankfully my sis and law and I both had cover (the kind that covers you if you are a passenger) and we were rescued!

I say with your little ones it is a very good investment - HIGH FIVE!!! x

last credit card payment updated for the month. have paid off 5.4% of original debt so far, which is behind schedule to pay off within 2 years, but hope will pick up later on as I snowball and hopefully can shift debts to lower interest cards, and is in the right direction.

packing today for camping trip- keeping an eye on the weather to see if the end of bertha hits - if so, won't travel through it and will travel on monday instead.

phone unlocked, rang orange they had a record of mw requwsting it but done nowt about it. offered that they could order it now and it would be ready in 20 days for 20-odd quid... deja vu. I did not take them up on their offer and had it done in an hour and a half 2 mins down the road. harumph.

dd and I have cleaned the mobile landfill that was my car. it is not yet completely sparkly - but as we are going camping there's no point in going too mad.

friend has dropped over some of her old clothes :)

Life's too short for cleaning cars. Mine tends to look like a skip most of the time.

Enjoy the camping. I hope the weather is ok for you.

:) I do tend to think of the general detritus as a car thief deterrent - I mean which car does one steal either for TWOK-ing or selling on? - certainly not the one knee deep in children's broken toys, old hankies, school cardies that no longer fit, "artwork", remains of biscuits, sweet wrappers, long forgotten notes of important things, the odd teaspoon, the odd small shoe (I never remember them hopping out of the car with only one foot clad, but there we go).....and probably not the one with an engine that whines quite as loudly as mine does.

it is not simply that I am a slattern, oh no, it's a cunning plan:D

not even half packed yet, If there are thunderstorms tomorrow I will at least have another day to get ready, but it's just annoyingly drizzly at the mo (don't want to pack the stuff into the car wet on the way there - obviously on the way back we play the cards we're dealt).

best go to bed really in case there is an epic adventure tomorrow instead of shillyshallying on t'interwebbery.
