Morning to all:D
Ive got quite a few qs that im hoping someone can please help me with
In Nov/Dec im going to leave work to take stat maternity leave
I currently work part time earning £102 a week
Im told for the 1st 6 weeks I shall get 90% of my earnings so about £92 but what will I get after the 6 weeks please
Also my daughter attends a nursery which I pay for while I work. I dont want to loose her place as quite simply theres a waiting list a mile long to get in.
I do intend to go back to work after a year off so ive bene infomed that I can continue to claim the childcare element of tax credits towards my daughters fees (I think I will get about £10 towards it)
My worry is that next Nov/Dec 2008 if I decide not to go back to work what happens to the childcare money that they have paid me as I will have to hand my notice in
Its not a decision I think I will be making till next Nov/Dec 2008 but am worried about getting an overpayment.
Thanks in advance

You are only entitled to claim for the Childcare Costs through Tax Credits while you are working.
It's worth checking with the helpline as I believe you can still claim while on six months maternity leave. However if you do not go back after six months I believe you are no longer entitled to claim childcare costs."Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0 -
