GE money PPI

I have had a reply from GE MONEY today refusing repayment of PPI as loan was taken out through them by Freedom finance and they are no longer in business. Can someone give me advice please. They wouldn't give loan without PPI it was £4500, no arrears on account.

    Contact the FSCS.

It would appear that Freedom Finance, company No. 02973364, was dissolved on 05/03/2013 after changing it's name a few years earlier to Wilmslow Financial Services. As Wilmslow it was declared in default by the FSCS who are now dealing with claims.

The PPI was funded by the loan, it was not sold by GE so they did not mis-sell you anything. If you feel it was mis-sold you complain to the seller who are not in business in your case. If it were sold post Jan 2005 you can contact the FSCS.

If you bought the PPI before January 2005 then you give up. If you bought after January 2005 then you refer your complaint to the FSCS.
